Since 1973, AWC Tulsa has recognized Oklahoma’s newsworthy women at its annual Newsmakers Awards Luncheon. Newsmaker honorees have proven themselves to be effective communicators in their professions and have made significant accomplishments and contributions to the advancement of women. Newsmakers not only honors seasoned professionals, but also supports the next generation communicators by presenting scholarships to Oklahoma college students pursuing a degree in a communications field.
